I was driving yesterday from Uis with my windows open. Somehow the obsetion Namibia has with plastic was now loose in my car. As I was driving and pondering the meaning of life the packet flew out. I thought I must stop. However the little Minky on my shoulder said ….Agggg you probably wont find it. So I drove on.
This lasted 20 seconds and I decided to stop. As I slowed down I relised I had a flat tyre.
Boom! Take that Chadman. Nature 1 Chadman 0 Karma is a Bitch!
So lets not even mention the Grass fire and the car. Or the cannonball and the feather or Dwarf and the silver tray or the one night in Bankok or………Lol let me stop there 😉
The point I guess is what you put out there you will get back. You put out negativity and guess what? Things won’t get any better. They may get a lot worse but nope! Not better!’
On reflection i think when i was in hospital in 2015 and i reallized i was dying and that it was right now. Did i fight or give up? The current state of affairs was that i was not happy with what i was leaving behind. I did not want people to remember me as a drunk. As someone weak enough to let a substance end my life. I was just not ready. I have never been. I am more than that. When i am ready i will happily go from this side…….to the other side 😉 Until then i fight and i search for peace and do something worthy. Its not brain surgery! Do you like yourself? I did not but time heals and if you work on it every day you will succeed. Of that is am sure 😉
Remember you cant turn back time. However you can live in the now and write your own history.
I have met some incredible people recently. One was on one of my first Caminos. She has lost a lot of weight and looks very happy. Well done! It’s such an hard thing to do. I know 😉 A 80 year old man that made us all look like we were children learning to walk. 😉 Incredible. I have met people who suffer from addictions and nature gives them new hope. Stay strong 😉 People that have overcome the big C. 😉 A illness that has affected my life hugely. I send you my true love, strength and respect. Stay strong. People that walk for the first time and how happy they are after achiving their goal. You did it! 😉 A lady that lent me her Swakop home to recover after my leg and the fire. 😉 Thank you. A family from CT that looked after me when I needed it most. I humbly thank you 😉 The truly good people I have met is noticeable. Who knew? Angels come in very different shapes and forms. There is hope for this planet with you around and you are not unnoticed 😉 Love.

My Dad built a fountain in his garden. 2 ponds. Stream running between them. So basically, he wanted to retire and spend his days reading and watching water go from one place……to another place 😉

On the subject of Plant. I met a a Guest who had been to 2 Led Zepplin cocerts as well as 2 of the 21 Live Wall concerts. He also made an illegal live recording of the biggest night in Led Zepplin history. Having read their biography “Hammer of the Gods” i can tell you that if Peter Grant the Manager had caught him he would have been thrown out with a few deft blows to the side of the head 😉 They are from California. He is a good-looking surfer dude, and she is as beautiful on the inside as out. We all have a very similar outlook to life. I don’t do many Sossusvlei trips anymore but this one was incredible.They are just good people 😉 Happy and safe travels.

Again, on the subject of led Zeppilin and to never give up. My friend who walked from the Hoanib river to the Kunene River in 2016 with me. Stephen van der Schyff is a true artist. He is 60 years old and has been painting art his whole life (& the odd town red). As everyone is struggling right now and there is not the usual unlimited restictions people have in their monthly fine art budget. So whatcanacatmando? Steve has now become a rock God! Some however say a rock Cod but nevertheless. He and the band are awesome. They are called the Spare parts and hail from salt rock. I watched them when they first started and now, they truly are good. I belive they are going to rock the North coast and SA. Steve has never changed, and honestly has a heart of gold.. To keep the fight going, never giving up and still being a good person no matter the challenges. Is something I admire and seriously respect. The next biggest act since the Blues brothers has hit Southern africa.

Yowza interesting morning so far. I am sitting here watching the sunrise and a yelow billed hornbill flew full tilt boogie into the side of my car. There are two and they seem to be a couple. He looks a bit ashamed now 😉 Like men do when we say we know the way and get lost. Maps are for lost people anyway 😉 BWhaaaaaa 😉
Now an earthquake. This is my 3rd one in as many months. When you spend a lot of time in an area things start to become clearer. I am feeling the earth benighth me move. The geology around here is becoming interesting. Sittng here next to the Brandberg mountain I feel like I am part of this planet’s life. I imagine what it was like in this exact place millions of years ago. Thunderbolts and lightning…….very very frightning……Galileo……..Gali……

Talking of life. The Ugab herd of Elephants have a little addition 😉 Unfortunately one has passed on but the other is a though nut 😉 I love seeing them especially when they causually cruise through the camp here at Brandberg White lady lodge. I was watching a couple sitting in their car as the herd ate from a tree above their car. Lol. I perfer to stay away from all wildlife on foot but it trully is an imeresive sight. Gulp.
We have also had a lot of little critters in camp and the birds’ eggs have been a treat. Lots of horned adders.
Another earthquake, Is mother nature trying to tell me something????? Is that you Brian???
And now for something completely different. Watching a Violet wood hoopoe hoop.
Tomorrow the 28th July is Ellen’s birthday. She is in the Kruger national park on a trail and i wont get to see her. However i know she is having a great time. You mean the world to me Mrs Shatzenberger and your happy, positive and beautifull personality is addictive. See you soon. Love you and this is for you. Mwhaaaaaa XXX
